Lewistown Art Center
For over 45 years the Lewistown Art Center has promoted Arts and cultural education in Central Montana. It is located in the historic downtown area and features many different exhibits by many of the most well-known artists in the state. The art center has a wonderful monthly Gallery Reception where you can come in and meet the artists. These receptions are held regularly with each new artists exhibit. The Lewistown Art Center is an avid promoter of art education and provides a monthly Social Night where people interested in developing new art skills can attend and participate in simple art projects while meeting new friends and gaining inspiration.

East Main St. Check out Courthouse Square, the Central Business, and Judith Place districts near downtown. The Silk Stocking district is a testimony to those Lewistown residents who could actually afford them, and represents the success of the early entrepreneurs in Central Montana. The history of the Stone Masonry in the area is a fascinating study on its own. You can even view the World War II buildings that still exist at Lewistown Municipal Airport which was once a B-17 bomber training base. A walking tour is a terrific activity for your entire family.
If you’re visiting Lewistown for the first time you will be very surprised to discover the amazing trail system available throughout this gem of a town. Beginning at Trailhead Park located in front of the Yogo Inn, you can use this as a starting point for over 20 miles of trail that are perfect for hiking, bicycling, running, and walking. It is very common to see White-tail and Mule Deer, ducks, geese, pheasants, and many varieties of birds. Walk around the Frog Ponds or explore the restored Brewery Flats and relax on a bench next to Spring Creek and soak in all the natural beauty of the area.
